10 New Improvements The Bioshock Sequel Needs To Have
7. More Dynamic Environments
'Dynamic Environments' is something we're beginning to see more of in video games as of late, with EA coming up with the particularly irksome term 'Levolution'. So far though it's yet to be implemented in any major way that would make a world come to life. Imagine a Bioshock environment that's constantly shifting, not just through scripted events, but through your interaction. With technology now catching up to the vision of a lot of designers, we live in a world were this kind of thing could be done by a team with a penchant for taking a risk. Get it wrong, and you end up with another Red Faction. Get it right, and we are no longer slaves to endless corridors and the paths the developer gives us. Whilst this may seem quite ambitious, don't forget, in the original Bioshock Infinite trailer Columbus was painted as a much more dynamic place. Any new developer would do well to expand on this and create something truly unique. One of the original concepts for Infinite involved using weather to dynamically affect the way you played. With the power behind Playstation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the PC, developers now have the ability to implement these kind of systems much easier and with much greater effect.
