10 Nintendo Switch Ports That Aren't Worth Your Money
9. Saints Row The Third: The Full Package
There's now two valid reasons to not bother picking up Saints Row: The Third for your Switch. For one, unless you're specifically playing in handheld, it's going to be an ugly ride, but secondly and more importantly there's an even better version of Saints Row 3 that's more worth your time.
Yes, Saints Row the Third Remastered is the far superior version of Steelport, complete with a massive uptick in visual quality and a stable, improved frame rate. Compare that to the Switch edition, which runs reasonably well in handheld mode at 720p, but strangely struggles at the higher 1080p when docked to the TV.
That itself seems strange, when you consider the original PS3 and Xbox 360 versions ran better nearly eight years ago and the Switch, for all intents and purposes, is a better console. What's worse, the game suffered from a high level of input lag at launch, something that was later rectified to a degree in a patch update but still struggles at times during heated exchanges.
All in all, it's a reasonable attempt to adapt the series to the Switch, but it's entirely overshadowed by the gorgeous remastered edition that in some regions is available at a more affordable price.
