10 Nintendo Switch Ports That Aren't Worth Your Money
8. Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition
Nintendo themselves have had plenty of ports to fill out its release schedule on the Switch, from New Super Mario Bros. to Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Of the lot, only a couple can be considered a trust waste of your money, but taking the cake is Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition.
Having already graced the Wii U and the 3DS, the Switch edition of the Dynasty Warriors inspired title takes all of the content of the previous two editions, mixes them together and throws in some extra costumes based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Unfortunately that's about it, with little effort to add new exclusive modes or improve the frame rate in certain areas. There's also a distinct lack of online co-op, something that seems incredibly silly to leave out in this day and age.
An argument can be made that Nintendo's Wii U ports shouldn't be full priced. Though most of the other Switch editions have at least included new content and visual improvements (such as Funky Kong mode in DKC or the added levels in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker), here Koei Tecmo have largely phoned it in, which feels like a wasted opportunity and certainly a waste of your money.
