10 No-Brainer Video Game Sequels That DIDN'T Get Made

The terrifying Xenomorph has always had excellent potential in the gaming scene, but very few titles were able to deliver on this promise. In 2014, British developer Creative Assembly created the solid Alien: Isolation in 2014.

Isolation came at a very opportune time; for the most part it helped to wash out the bad taste of Aliens: Colonial Marines from the year before. Here was an Alien game made with great care and attention to detail, perfectly capturing the style and tone of the 1979 classic.

There were some musings and releases following the game's release; a sequel comic followed Amanda's escapades after the events of the game. But when it came to making a true successor, fans were very disappointed to find Alien: Blackout. This mobile spin-off appeared to take inspiration from Five Nights at Freddie's with the protaganist placed in the control room and directing other characters.

Considering how the mobile scene has never been known for immersive horror titles, the community expected better. Over six years after the game's release, Creative Assembly has now returned to making their flagship franchise under SEGA. While Total War is a deep and involving title in its own right, the one Alien game that finally got it right on modern systems has been cast aside and forgotten about.
