10 Obvious Features We Can't Believe All Games DON'T HAVE

6. Motion Blur & FOV Sliders

In theory, motion blur can add a greater sense of cinematic "realism" to a video game, but it's also fair to say that it isn't to all tastes - some find it annoying, and for others it straight-up produces headaches which make a game difficult or impossible to play.

And so, all games should definitely have an option to turn it off, right?

Another common frustration is a fixed field-of-view (FOV) for first-and-third-person games, because many players dislike being too close to the action, and prefer a wider FOV where they can drink in more of the surrounding details.

FOV sliders are far from ever-present, though, and while there are some cases where a wider FOV can theoretically impact game performance, giving players some wiggle-room - especially on PC - doesn't feel like too much of an ask.

These are basic options to prevent players from feeling nauseous and actually enjoy the moment-to-moment experience of the game.
