10 Obvious Features We Can't Believe All Games DON'T HAVE
4. Auto-Advance Dialogue
Anyone who plays a lot of RPGs will surely feel this one in their gut - auto-advance dialogue.
In dialogue-heavy games, it can quickly feel like a chore having to manually advance each line of dialogue, and in extreme cases - or for those players with physical disabilities - it can be a genuine strain to repetitively press the same button every few seconds.
For years now, many dialogue-dense games have included an option to auto-advance dialogue, allowing you to simply sit back, relax, and soak in a 20-minute exposition dump without needing to keep your hand glued to the controller.
Again it's basic stuff, and yet, many games still require manual dialogue advancement.
And while we're at it, here's a bonus feature - all dialogue-heavy games should also have a conversation log, allowing players to scroll back through every spoken line in the game and check anything they might've missed.
