10 Obvious Video Game Traps (You Walked Into Anyway)
8. Punch Hitler - Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure
Any video game that offers players the chance to punch Adolf Hitler knows that the overwhelming majority of people won't be able to resist, even if only to see the outcome.
And indeed, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure offers just such an opportunity when, like in the film, Indy briefly crosses paths with the Führer in Berlin.
While you're clearly supposed to hand Hitler something to sign as in the movie, you're also given the decidedly more entertaining option of punching him instead, no matter that there's a Nazi guard stood directly behind you with a machine-gun pointed at your back.
All the same, we all had to see it through, and unsurprisingly, after bopping Hitler on the nose you'll be immediately ventilated with a hail of machine-gun fire before dropping dead on the spot. Game Over.
The game then throws up a tongue-in-cheek message acknowledging your "accomplishment," saying, "We wish we could say that Indy went down in history as the only American ever to have punched out Hitler. Unfortunately, no one ever heard about it."
All the same, no regrets.
