10 One-Hit Kill Video Game Bosses That Made You Rage

8. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Arcade: The Shredder

Here's an oldie but very, very goldie kind of situation. The old TMNT arcade game was fantastic, a side-scrolling beat 'em up where you could play as either of the four lovably murderous ninjutsu-wielding anthropomorphic turtle children. Aside from beating the bloody hell out of differently colored soldiers of the Foot clan, you also fight against Bebop and Rocksteady (alone and together), Kraang, Dr. Baxter Stockman, and of course the ultimate baddy of the series - The Shredder.

Each enemy has their little niche attacks, like Bebop and Rocksteady using charge attacks that they can bump into each other, or Baxter dropping deadly robotic Mousers while he flies around in his own mutated form. But Shredder has a slew of interesting little techniques, including the ability to clone himself and a katana that he certainly has no problem slicing up some turtle steaks with.

But the real devastator is this blue lightning attack he uses that goes all the way across the screen. If your chosen turtle is a little too close to it, the beam transforms them back into a regular turtle, which, for some reason, instantly kills you.
