10 Other Fighting Games That Should Feature Wrestlers In Their Rosters
8. Soul Calibur
At the turn of the millennium Namco struck gold with the sequel to a sleeper hit called Soul Blade, this game being known as Soul Calibur, would become a franchise all its own. The game was a certified hit from the moment that it was ported to the Dreamcast, a version many believe to be better than the arcade, and has seen all manner of success.
Besides crisp weapons-based combat in a 3D arena, Soul Calibur was also known for its crossovers, Bringing in Spawn, Heihachi, and Link in for the second edition, spreading them across the three consoles, and then welcoming in the world of Star Wars to hype players up for The Force Unleashed. In the latest release, Soul Calibur welcomed in Geralt, from the book, game, and popular Netflix series, The Witcher.
With weapons almost being a requirement, this game would be perfect for some legends of the hardcore wrestling scene. Perhaps Cactus Jack with the barb-wired bat, Terry Funk with his signature chainsaw, or Tommy Dreamer with the kendo stick could all show Nightmare a thing or two about the meaning of pain. With all the people Soul Calibur has welcomed into the battle, nothing is off the table.
