6. The Call of Duty Survives Until The End of Days
Call of Duty is going nowhere, both literally
and figuratively. Provided the end of the Mayan calendar doesn't spell the end of the world this year, the COD franchise will continue to enjoy sequels and spin-offs far into the distant future, to the point that, when it finally does start raining fire, half of the global population will hear about it over Xbox Live while half way through a team deathmatch. The only way we can kill Call of Duty is simply to stop buying it, but since that's clearly not going to happen any time soon, I really cannot see an end to the samey, homogenized repetitiveness that sadly represents the majority of the FPS market today and probably for the rest of everyone's life.
