9 Outlandish Predictions for the Future of Gaming

4. Phones Become Games Consoles

Phone gaming is, as you know, already a fairly huge market. However, phone-based video games are currently aimed at people who are sitting on the toilet and need something to do while they strain. The technology just isn't quite there yet, so for the moment, phone gaming is too much of a casual experience to properly sink your teeth into. However, as the technology progresses phones will of course be capable of more and more, leading to a day when the likes of Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will release their own brand of device, which simultaneously acts as a phone and a games console. And if I'm honest, I'd invest in one - what could be sweeter than having a dump whilst playing the likes of Skyrim on your phone? Very, very few things.
