This 2017 puzzle game works extremely well on a portable console like the Switch. As you play with a four-panel interface throughout, Gorogoa can be played entirely with the touch screen. Taking a look at any screencaps and witnessing the hand-drawn art, you can immediately tell that Gorogoa is an elegant, beautifully-designed game, with a unique form of gameplay.

Without the hectic action of a shooter game, Gorogoa can be appreciated as a relaxing, slower-paced title; allowing you to appreciate the layered story and the art that took illustrator Jason Roberts seven years to complete.

Yet although you can take your time when playing this game, the premise is simple, and the game could be completed in around a couple of hours, Gorogoa is a rich and complex puzzle experience.

The puzzles get more difficult as the otherworldly story gets more complex - despite a lack of any dialogue. Though Gorogoa will not take very long to complete, and the puzzles never become overly difficult, it is well worth taking the time to experience this unique game and its rich, bittersweet story.
