If you want a tabletop experience on your Switch, you could do a lot worse than check out Armello. Another of the unique, unusual gems on the eShop, Armello fuses card and board game elements with those of RPGs, and creates a story-rich adventure featuring anthropomorphic animals.
The King of the land has fallen ill with a toxic disease called the Rot, and various animals have been sent out in hopes of claiming the throne for their respective clans.
Each complex, well-designed character in this whimsical world has a distinct background story, and different abilities and skills - allowing you to choose your favourites, and vilify those you like least. And while Armello has a learning curve to it, with randomisation and four different ways to win the game, it is well worth taking the time to figure out how everything works.
