10 Overpowered Video Game Items Created UNINTENTIONALLY
9. Javelin - Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has had many glitches and balancing issues throughout its existence, but only one of them made Microsoft actively threaten players with bans for attempting to use it—the infamous javelin glitch.
The javelin is a fairly powerful rocket launcher with target-seeking missiles. On its own, it is a useful item, but back in the day, when the now patched glitch was around, it used to be a dreaded weapon of mass destruction.
The glitch that made the javelin so notorious allowed you to become a mobile nuke by arming the launcher, holding Y, and then sneaking up to the enemy spawn to blow yourself up along with everything and everyone else in your radius.
The glitch killed you in the process, but it also guaranteed that everyone else on the map would go down with you, as even shooting you down would cause the armed rocket to explode, and the blast radius was large enough to take out people you couldn't even see around you.
It may not have been the most respectful way of playing, but when the game puts a nuke in your hands, the only logical next step is to blow yourself up with it.
