10 Perfect Short Video Games To Get You Through A Gaming Lull

8. South Park: The Stick Of Truth

The South Park series has made a few ventures into the video game world but none have really set the world alight. As much as we loved answering seemingly random trivia questions in Chef's Luv Shack or shooting turkeys in the original South Park game, Trey Parker and Matt Stone's direct involvement in The Stick Of Truth immediately made it a more exciting prospect than those that came before. Despite several delays, the game has lived up to that immense hype. Parker and Stone's script makes the whole thing feel like an extended episode of the show while Obsidian's RPG expertise means the game plays great too. It's not incredibly deep but the turn based system means there's still a need for tactical thinking. There's also plenty to see and do in the town of South Park and there's plenty of laugh-out-loud moments to be had throughout. Overall, completing everything the game has to offer will only take about ten hours; it'll only take a couple of sessions but you'll be entertained throughout. It might not rival the epic hundred hour plus journeys of Skyrim and Fallout but South Park: The Stick Of Truth is still highly worthy of your time and attention.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
