10 Perfect Video Games That NEVER Need To Be Remade
10. Final Fantasy VII
Perhaps the most obvious and most requested game for the remake treatment, this classic RPG starring some of the best damn characters in the series' history should never, ever, be tinkered with. The main reason for this is simple; it's impossible to make a game that fans will love. The Final Fantasy VII remake has been demanded for so long, with so many rumours and tidbits of information flying around, that the thing has achieved almost legendary status amongst gamers worldwide. If you play the original, its blocky characters and non-voice acted cut-scenes may be a bit dated, but that doesn't make the story, gameplay and constant breeding of chocobo-birds to get the golden one any less awesome. Wouldn't an HD Final Fantasy VII ruin all of that? Imagine if they did a character with a voice you just couldn't stand, or completely changed settings where the games' memorable moments took place? Imagine if they tweaked the battle system after deeming it too archaic, or chopped out sections of game that they didn't deem necessary. Would Sephiroth's One Winged Angel fight be awesome in HD with a full orchestral backing? Yes, it probably would. Should it be done? No it should not. Most gamers have little faith in Square Enix to develop a good Final Fantasy game nowadays and there's certainly no need to go ruining what many consider the best in the series.
