10 Perfect Ways To Make The Witcher 4
5. Improve The Efficiency Of Ranged Weapons
Typical ranged weapons have never had a huge focus in the combat of a game in Geralt's series, mostly because of the focus on Signs and bombs. The throwing daggers from The Witcher 2 and Wild Hunt's crossbow do have more than enough to offer in gameplay, however, and ranged weapons could make a more meaningful addition to the series in The Witcher 4.
Whether in the hands of an ageing, less agile Geralt or perhaps under the control of a totally different protagonist, the crossbow could be supplemented by a bow & arrow for long-ranged monster hunting. It's not hugely important that the weapons haven't featured much in the past, as they can easily be written in.
Having more, customisable ranged weapons would give players a chance to really put more of their own stamp on the way they approach the combat in the game. Geralt obviously has a pretty particular style, but more variety in the weaponry would open this up to much more interpretation or, perhaps, improvement.
