10 Places Assassin's Creed Could Go After Valhalla

5. The Mongol Empire

Sure, the Inca may have had the largest empire the western hemisphere has ever seen, but the Mongols had the largest land empire in the history of world. As it so happens, that empire would be an ideal setting for an Assassin's Creed game.

There's already some history between the Assassins and the Mongols. Not only did they attack Masyaf, but Altair and his son, Darim, went to Mongolia to combat them. Darim also struck the killing blow to Genghis Khan after Mongolian Assassin, Qulan Gal (of whom there is a statue in the Sanctuary at Villa Auditore), shot Khan's horse out from under him.

Clearly, there's already a story in place. Granted, Ubisoft may not want to retread it. That's fine. They don't have to explore Genghis Khan's death. They can explore ANY period of the empire. It began in 1206, and lasted in some form or another until the late-1600s.

Think of it: it covered SO MUCH LAND! It stretched from Japan to Central Europe, from the Arctic to Southeast Asia. Major cities included Samarkand, Karakorum, and Shangdu.

Also, the Mongols were known for hunting with eagles. Is that not an organic way to incorporate the eagle drone mechanic from Origins and Odyssey?
