The futuristic and engaging races of Wipeout offer a unique diversion from all the base driving simulators on consoles.

Released in 2014, the game provides a tough challenge for those looking to master its anti-gravity style of gameplay. Wipeout HD makes the list mostly for the hours of grind you'll have to pour in to achieve the platinum trophy.

The racing genre isn't known for variation in its gameplay, so you'll have to possess a penchant for skill-based progression and patience for its often repetitive pacing.

To earn some of the rarer silver and gold trophies in the game, you'll need to improve your skills while also slowly and agonisingly crawling your way up to 100,000 loyalty points for a given Finally on top of the endless grind, you'll also need to borrow a friend or family member's time to complete twenty split-screen races.

The real kick in the teeth came in 2018 when the online servers were shut down. Unless you can find some kind of private server, five trophies in the list are now completely unobtainable.
