10 Platinum Gaming Trophies That Were Literal Torture

3. Super Meat Boy

Final fantasy 14
Team Meat

This classic 2D platformer made its way over to PS4 after proving to be a big success on the previous generation. Developed by Team Meat, Super Meat Boy oozed with personality, colour and charm, becoming one of the most popular indie games of its day.

Of course, beneath its bold exterior lay a crushing difficulty that players were eager to tear into. It's all about getting Meat Boy through brutally challenging levels with countless obstacles out to chop him to pieces with a single strike. This same difficulty carried through into the game's set of trophies.

Being a smaller game, you'd think the platinum trophy wouldn't be too tricky, right? Not so fast. First you'll need to blast your way through an already difficult game, completing the story mode and bagging the initial set of achievements.

Now do it all again, getting an A+ on every stage under a time limit. Not difficult enough? You'll now need to collect all bandages, find all the warp zones and worst of all, do a no death run.

This hellish challenge is clearly meant for those who have mastered the game, doubly so if you're tackling the dark world stages. If you can snag this platinum, then hats off.
