You could build up a level of relationship over time with your club, and then when you leave, that level could decide whether you're cheered or booed on return to their stadium.

Building up a good relationship with your manager might make it more likely that you'll get put on set pieces, or perhaps even made captain. Building up good relationships with teammates might make them easier to work with on the pitch, and might just make the difference in making them stay if they're being courted by bigger clubs.

On the other hand, there are potentially negative connotations. A bust up on the way out the door at your old club might result in your every touch being mercilessly booed on return, and you might even end up on the end of some really robust challenges. You might drive your manager so mad he leaves you on the sidelines for a month, or even sticks you on the transfer list himself. And with players, it might make them less likely to pass to you, or even request a transfer just to get away from your toxic presence in the dressing room.

Much like the last point, it might take a while to perfect, but it would be worth trying to add more interaction to your game.
