10 Powerful Video Game Features NOBODY Uses (But You Should)

6. Group Stretching - Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Version 2.0 of Animal Crossing has introduced a new feature called group stretching, which lets you exercise with your villagers via a special tape deck near the Resident Services building.

Because the feature normally uses Joy-Cons for controls and requires a bit of time to complete, most players tend to keep it off their list of daily chores. It's a mechanic they do once or twice and then completely forget about.

However, completing your group-stretching exercises isn't just some kind of gimmick for promoting getting your dailies. There are actually a lot of in-game benefits, including prizes and hidden bonuses.

Each completed group-stretching activity rewards you with unique items, like a leotard outfit and exercise gear, that you cannot get in any other way, and as a hidden feature, it can even attract unique NPCs that wouldn't normally arrive on your island that particular day!

The stretching minigame is certainly worth investing some time into, and if you really don't want to get your daily exercise with it, you can always just switch to button mode, which replaces the motion tracking.
