10 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About The Xbox One

10. Battery-Powered Controllers

Really, Microsoft? Come now, we're living in a wonderful technological age where most, if not all, of our electronic gadgets no longer require being frequently fed batteries to keep them alive: rechargeable devices are far less hassle to maintain, and more economic to boot. Now, let's get the obvious counter-argument out of the way first. Yes, there's a wide range of first and third-party 'charge kits' available to Xbox One owners that will do what the Wii U or PlayStation 4 gamepads already do straight out of the box, but why should we have to shell out additional cash for a feature that comes as standard with competing consoles? We shouldn't have to. It's as simple as that. Microsoft really has no excuse not to include the necessary recharge kit for its peripherals right out of the gate, but where's the money in that, eh? Skepticism aside, the whole problem would be far less pronounced if the Xbox One pad didn't guzzle up batteries like there's no tomorrow. A single, moderately-sized gaming session can easily be enough to eat up over a quarter of your battery life. Absurd.
