10 Problems With Destiny 2 Nobody Wants To Admit
5. There's Nothing Worthwhile To Spend Your Glimmer On
Back to the endgame and its multifaceted issues - even the base currency of Glimmer barely factors into anything meaningful.
Almost as a way for Bungie to make sure you don't hoard too much of it, this universal currency is used for such basic things as applying mods and armour colours - despite the fact it makes no sense to be paying yourself to wear something you already own.
Across my 40+ hours with Destiny 2, I've never once bought a weapon from a vendor - nor have I made a point of "saving up" for anything in particular. There are only around three or four 'types' of spacecraft to nab, any weapon you pick up will be better than anything on offer, and that goes double for armour.
It's genuinely laughable that the most common use for Glimmer is paying to do things that every other game would include as standard.
