10 Promising 2020 Video Games You Must Consider

8. Deathloop

journey to a savage planet
Arkane Studios

We know slim to bagel about Deathloop so far, including no ideas about a release date. When the game was unveiled at E3 this year, there was no indication of release schedule at all. Q3/Q4 2020 both seem like viable options, but then it could just as easily be a next gen launch title, meaning it depends on when Sony and Microsoft pull the trigger.

It might end up not being a 2020 game at all then, but what we’ve seen so far has been interesting enough to have fans waiting with anticipation.

Though publishers Bethesda have seen their credibility take a whacking these last few years, developers Arkane Studios have considerable goodwill after both Dishonoured games. Much like those, Deathloop is set to include a ‘play it your way’ mechanic, allowing players to tackle problems from multiple angles.

As for the game itself, it looks like Happy Death Day if they were both trying to kill each other. Two assassins, stuck in an infinite loop, must kill each other over and over again as each battles to escape their fate.

It features guns, machetes, grenades, rockets and even teleportation and telekinesis... there’s a lot to be excited about.
