8. The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening might be a remake, but with a 26 year gap, huge graphical update and coming on a console going from strength to strength, there’s still plenty of people excited for this one.
With the massively popular and successful Breath Of The Wild set for a full on sequel, revisiting one of Link’s greatest hits will have to tide fans over until then. Of course, this announcement just led to louder voices crying out for their favourite Zelda game to get a Switch remake, but that's a story for another day.
What we know for now is that Link’s Awakening looks absolutely adorable, and that the game is a 1 to 1 recreation of the original, despite the huge upgrade in visuals. If you can remember the dungeons from the first game, you’re in luck.
Unlike some other games here, there’s not that much intrigue. We know exactly what it’s going to be, and there’s no real mystery to uncover. It’s Zelda. It’ll play like Zelda.
Given just how many Hyrule fans are out there though, this could be another hugely successful Switch exclusive in 2019.
