10 PS2 Hidden Gems You Must Play

8. Psychonauts

Psychonauts-Featurebanner1 Winning awards left, right and centre, yet not selling very well at all, Psychonauts is a prime case when exploring the differences between critical and commercial success. Lauded by the gaming industry for, amongst other things, fantastic art direction, superb gameplay and a nice sense of humour, Psychonauts also had the dubious honour of picking up several trophies for being 'Best Game No-One Played'. That's a crying shame, because more gamers should have witnessed the delights this beauty has to offer. Platformers may not quite be at the head of videogame charts like they used to be, but Double Fine Productions wheeled out one of the very best of the PS2 era here, and it's definitely worth seeking out.
