Youve got to give respect to the guys behind Wander for delivering us a refreshing take on the MMO genre, one that involves zero-combat and instead focuses on character building and storytelling.
Its concept upon reveal sounded enticingly ambitious, allowing players to immerse themselves in gorgeous open world and communicate with other players with just the games unique language.
However, it seemed that in pursuit of their ambitions, developer Loki Davison lost sight of one fundamental detail - producing a game that actually works. Players found themselves colliding with invisible walls, moonwalking uncontrollably and throwing their controller in frustration as they were simply unable to save.
Such problems led to the game being branded as one of the worst titles on the PS4, receiving an overall Metacritic score of 28. Ouch.
