10 Rarest PS1 Games Ever

10. Suikoden II

New: $220 | Used: $110 This is one of those games whose value is boosted thanks to the fact that it's actually an excellent game as well as a rare one. Is it worth $200 on gameplay alone? Hmmm, maybe not, but Suikoden 2 is still a JRPG classic. This 1999 RPG sequel from Konami puts players in control of an orphaned protagonist who is tasked with leading an army against the kingdom he was brought up in. All combat is turn-based, and you engage in small, squad-based and massive, full-army battles. The tactical gameplay will be familiar to Final Fantasy fans, albeit blown up to a massive scale. Konami only gave Suikoden 2 a small print run to get an idea of how well it would sell. Despite receiving positive reviews and a dedicated fan following, the game sold poorly so no more copies were ever printed. Nevertheless, the series carried on for many years, with the most recent entry being Genso Sukoiden for the PSP in 2012.
