10 Real Endings Hidden In DLC
6. Doom Eternal
The core campaign of Doom Eternal ends in almost hilariously abrupt fashion, with the Doom Slayer defeating the Icon of Sin, doing a triumphant badass strut, and the game insisting that he'll be back for more ass-kicking adventures.
But the two-part The Ancient Gods DLC, which didn't conclude until a full year after Eternal's release, reveals that demons are still plotting to take over Earth, and so of course, the Doom Slayer needs to get back to work.
Here, the Doom Slayer battles the real big bad of the Doom franchise, the Dark Lord Davoth, defeating him and in turn destroying all demons outside of Hell, ending the invasion of Earth once and for all.
And to tie a neater-than-neat bow on it, the Doom Slayer then gets sent off to nap inside his sarcophagus until he's needed next. While not necessarily a better ending than Eternal's main story, it does have a bit more meat to it at least.
