10 Really Stupid Decisions In Horror Video Games
1. Turning The Machine On - Bendy And The Ink Machine
A neat little indie game with a luscious art style, Bendy and the Ink Machine starts out with retired animator Henry returning to his old place of work after getting a strange letter from his old employer, Joey Drew. Nothing wrong with a little bit of nostalgia, after all, and Drew writes that he intends to show something to Henry once he arrives. So far, so good - it's an innocuous story about two pals reconnecting over their love of inky animations.
Only, when Henry turns up to the studio to find it abandoned, as well as a strange puzzle-come-ritual intended to turn a central machine on that's surrounded by rooms smeared with creepy messages, you'd think he'd take a rain check and come back when Joey's around to tell him what the hell is going on. Even more so when he finds a tape suggesting some real weird sh*t went down in the machine's creation.
But hey, let's just turn it on anyway, right?
Henry deserves all the ink demon evilness that he conjured for this absolutely bone-headed decision. Learn to leave things well alone guys, and ink monsters won't come to f*ck you up for touching their stuff.
