If you loved the first Dark Souls and are looking for more, then you are going to love Dark Souls III. It does an excellent job of carrying on and evolving the things that made that game great.

What Bloodborne does is arguably more impressive however. It examines the things that made Dark Souls unique but doesn€™t rely on the exact formula of the original game as closely as Dark Souls III does. As a result, it feels more like a proper sequel as opposed to an impressive expansion.

Bloodborne and Dark Souls may technically be separate franchises, but the way that Bloodborne resists treading old ground while providing fans with many of the elements that made them fall in love with Dark Souls in the first place is truly impressive.
