10 Reasons Call Of Duty Must Be Boots On The Ground After Infinite Warfare
1. Seriously, Why Not?
There is no logical reason, especially after all of the different points we've hit on, that the next Call of Duty title can't be a straightforward FPS game without people flying around and blasting lasers everywhere.
Innovation is always a positive thing, however the old saying "If it isn't broken, don't fix it" is very much valid here. Nothing was really wrong with Call of Duty not being a sci-fi shooter franchise - that was its identity.
Sure, you had a few voices criticizing that every game in the series was 'always the same', yet most of those people are not fans of the series (and many times are just the anti-CoD community).
Nobody who actually liked, played, and enjoyed these games were calling for this space-age nonsense. If anything, people wanted things like day one hacks, glitchfests at launch, poor hit detection, unbalanced or poorly conceived weapons and perks, poor map design, grenade spam, and other legitimate issues to be fixed going forward.
Whilst we know why they've moved in the direction they did, it clearly isn't working for the franchise. Hence, I must ask, why not go back to the way things were?
