10 Reasons Call Of Duty Must Be Boots On The Ground After Infinite Warfare

8. Fan Demand

WTF call of duty infinite warfare

One of the major reasons why the series needs to put it's boots back on the ground, is a very simple one that if ignored could kill the brand. That reason, is fan demand.

Now, I know that there are plenty of folks who appreciate the sci-fi 3D stuff. However, it's obvious that a huge contingent of the fanbase isn't thrilled with the current direction of the franchise. Heck, just look at the gigantic dislike bomb that the campaign trailer for Infinite Warfare got.

Sure, it's obvious that some of those dislikes came from a bot, but every time we see more from IW, the fanbase is reacting negatively.

With that said, we can probably guess that Sledgehammer are going to reveal Advanced Warfare 2 in the case that Activision doesn't put the breaks on the sci-fi silliness.

CoD is a huge franchise and realistically a few poorly selling games won't kill it off. However, we could very well see it become like other once great franchises where it get shelved for a few years. It's simple economics.

If nobody demands the games they supply, Activision can only give into demand or nix the franchise and focus on other games that are selling.
