10. The Standard Of Telltale's Recent Output

Proving they are more than capable of adapting a beloved series in the form of their Walking Dead: Series One, it's very encouraging to learn that Telltale Games are developing something similar in the Game of Thrones universe. It is true of both franchises that while there is action to be found, the true heart of their narratives rely on character interaction. This is where Telltale has already shown they are up to the task and can deliver complicated and believable characters. This has been true of the majority of their output and their most recent offering based on the comic book Fables. It creates a noir universe around fairytale characters which makes for some very interesting gaming moments that you can't help but get invested in. Of course, I'm looking to their most recent successes here - it would be unwise to forget the lackluster attempt to adapt Jurassic Park, but at the minute I'm happy to give them the benefit of the doubt. Telltale's dialogue trees are perfect for navigating the tense verbal sparring so common in Game of Thrones and to be a part of it is a very enticing prospect. Who you'll be and what role you'll play is still unknown, but I for one am excited to get a fresh take on Westeros.
