10 Reasons Rocksteady's Next Arkham Game Should Be Batwoman

1. We'd See The Bat-Family From The Outside

When it comes to video games, we've only ever seen the Bat-family from the inside, and mostly as their patriarch, the Dark Knight himself. However, as DC have often shown over the last few decades, it's often the Batman stories set outside of that circle that tend to be the most interesting. That proved to be the case with Gotham Central, and it was definitely the case with Batwoman.

The way things are, Rocksteady have a couple of options they could take with a game set after Arkham Knight. They could have players assume the role of Batman yet again, operating in the shadows while trying to avoid detection from his old allies, or they could do something genuinely different and focus on telling a story from a different perspective.

Superman would be a great way of doing that, given his friendship with Bruce, but given Rocksteady's understanding of Gotham as a whole, it just makes more sense for Kate to be that figure. Let players see the city through new eyes, commit to the new status-quo and do something genuinely different.

That's how a franchise innovates. Both narratively speaking and gameplay-wise.
