10 Reasons Sony Won E3 2014
1. Bloodborne
You can never have too much of a good thing.
If that good thing happens to be a combination of masochistically difficult combat and deliciously twisted art design then you were likely thrilled to hear about the latest title from Dark Souls developers From Software. Bloodborne was announced at the E3 press conference as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, and while the trailer was short on information, the tone it set was suitably fiendish.
The world presented in the trailer's opening moments is one that is as heavily influenced by gothic grandeur as it is by industrial clutter. It might be a departure from the core aesthetic values of the Dark Souls series, but Bloodborne's industrial edge and apparent focus on themes of medicine and disease still manage to capture the overbearing bleakness of its predecessors.
What did you guys think of the conferences and reveals? Do Sony reign supreme, or should Microsoft or Nintendo get a mention too? Let us know in the comments!
