10 Reasons The Division 2 DESTROYS Anthem
1. The Endgame Is Worthwhile (So Far)
No live-service game can have much of a life without a compelling endgame, and this is one area where Anthem cratered within literally a day of launch, as players quickly finished the campaign and realised there wasn't much worth doing afterwards.
Focused heavily on grinding and repetition but bringing desperately little new to the table, Anthem's biggest crime is nevertheless a lack of compelling loot, with atrocious, heavily complained-about drop rates for Legendary items.
BioWare's failure to address the lacklustre endgame will likely be Anthem's kiss of death and ensure its player-base is a desiccated wasteland before long.
The Division 2's endgame is obviously in its earliest stages right now, but it's immediately apparent that Massive Entertainment listened to the vocal criticism of the previous game's lacklustre endgame content.
A new faction is introduced upon completing the main story which significantly shifts the landscape and presents a compelling incentive to keep playing - to raise your World Tier and increase your Gear Score. Plus, three free updates are due to release over the next year, alongside the addition of 8-player Raids.
If that doesn't present value-for-money and post-story content actually worth digging into, what does?
