10 Reasons The PlayStation Vita Was An Overlooked Gem

9. Front And Rear Cameras

The Vita, much like its rear and front touch screens, also has two cameras on the front and back of the system. These cameras can be used in the traditional sense, with them being able to take selfies or pictures of whatever is in front of you. But the Vita also has the capability of taking panoramic photos and portraits. What's more, you can use any of the photos you have taken or have in your gallery to customise your Vita's home screen.

Aside from the conventional usage, the Vita also has several games that used these cameras in novel ways. A game such as Frobisher Says uses the camera on the rear of the Vita as one of its main gameplay components, like trying to find objects of colour to complete a target.

Even the pre-installed Welcome Park software on the Vita that serves as a tutorial to teach you the features of the system does something similar with its mini-game to try and find objects around you to make a face, and who doesn't like seeing themselves appear in their favourite video game?
