10 Reasons Titanfall Is A Call Of Duty Killer

3. Titans

Titanfall would not be what it is without the Titans, of course. While the first 90-120 seconds of any match is generally a pilot-based shootout (unless you have a handy burn card), the dynamic of play changes significantly once you can call in a Titan, and a giant battle of metal machines begins. Calling in a Titan and watching it smash into the ground is enormously satisfying, but what's even better is getting in the thing, stampeding around and killing grunts, and then taking on other Titans in warfare Michael Bay himself would approve of. One of the great features (depending on the Titan you're using) is Nuclear Ejection, whereby you can detonate your Titan's core when it's moments away from being destroyed, blowing anything in the radius to pieces while you safely eject a few hundred feet into the air to continue the battle. It's also huge fun to leap onto enemy Titans and "rodeo" them, riding them while you either shoot at enemies in plain sight, or rip off the Titan's control panel and start shooting it to pieces. More than all this, Titanfall makes you feel the sheer weightiness of these grand machines: it truly does feel like we're controlling expensive mechs designed to cause wanton mayhem at every turn.
