8. You Can't Melee Pedestrians (But You Can Shoot Them...)
There's a series of bizarre gameplay functions omitted from Watch Dogs, likely due to the ridiculous number of control features the game requires as it is. Still, again in contrast to GTA, there's no option to assault civilians with your bare hands, which is a shame. Not that we want to do it a lot, but this game is supposed to be all about freedom, and not being able to even smack a ped in the face doesn't exactly scream freedom, does it? If there was some sort of "moral" reasoning behind it (as some have already suggested online), it seems rather redundant, as you can't punch them, but you can still blow them to pieces with a grenade, riddle them with machine gun bullets or just get in a truck and run them over. Fist-fighting random NPCs may not have been a priority for Ubisoft, but it's a strange feature to leave out when it's considered a basic aspect of most similar games.
