2. Been There, Done That
Throughout the game you'll find yourself thinking 'been there, done that'. Whether it's the marines throwing profanity, the wading through infested sewers or the entanglement of a corporation's conspiracy. There are weapon customisations where you can pimp up your pulse rifle to give it a bigger magazine, laser sight, or a completely useless silencer. you can even give it a tacky looking flame paint job. They don't really add much and it just comes across as A:CM just trying to fit in with the other shooters on the market, rather than trying to stand out. Maybe the developers were fighting an uphill battle from the start. A lot can happen in 27 years, and a lot did. It seems since 1986 a lot of films and games have been borrowing from Cameron's classic. Halo stole the wise-cracking marines, Half-Life the face-hugging Headcrabs and even Starship Troopers all-but ripped off the premise.
