3. Next-Gen Consoles Have The Power To Do It Justice
Older WCW games such as WCW/nWo Revenge and WCW vs. nWo World Tour are still played to this day. Fans rejoice at the amazing playability of both titles, ones which set the bar for WWF No Mercy to raise later. Of course, all 3 games were produced by the same developers, the AKI Corporation, and published by THQ. They made the Nintendo 64 the console of choice for hardcore wrestling gamers. Just think what could be possible on the hardware available nowadays. Both the PS4 and Xbox One systems are insanely powerful, and developers have barely scratched the surface of what is achievable. Usually, it takes a few years before those working with hardware know the limitations, and 2K could produce something wonderful using the WCW brand. Seeing a fully HD representation of some of WCW's biggest bouts would be a thing of beauty for older wrestling fans. The likes of Goldberg, the nWo and Sting would come alive, featuring in some of their biggest matches. Imagine being able to play as Sting, battling Ric Flair at The Great American Bash 1990 for the World Title, for example. The possibilities are endless.
