10 Reasons You Should Play This Generation's Worst Video Games

9. Mass Effect: Andromeda

Bioware

Mass Effect: Andromeda kinda became the harbinger of BioWare's descent.

Yes, we’re talking about Anthem, and although I can’t even jokingly recommend that game to you, I do think Andromeda has its merits.

Fairly criticised and one of the poster children for the no pre-order movement that gamers like to bring up when it best suits them - eg, anytime we’re not talking about Cyberpunk – Andromeda had ambition.

Now, having ambition doesn’t forgive you of your sins. For example, awful, unfinished animations, strange pacing, as well as clunky and downright confusing user interfaces.

However, this kind of scope does bring something to the table for sci-fi fans.

You have a decent amount of choice and a varied amount of mechanics to work with, and though Andromeda wasn’t incredible, if you’re big into the series, enjoy a slew of detailed environments and a bit of exploration, there could be something for you here.
