10 Reasons You're Wrong About Evolve

9. All Future Downloadable Maps Are Free

Yes, unlike Halo, Call of Duty or Destiny, Turtle Rock have stated multiple times that all future maps released for the game will be free, not to mention the base game features a fantastic array of them anyway, going everywhere from jungles to snow-tipped mountain ranges and alien-filled swamps in between. Where in Halo it'll happily pop up and tell you that 'in order to play with your friends, you must download X map pack', Turtle Rock have made a point of saying they'd never want to segment the community, making sure regardless of how much or little you purchase, you'll always be able to find a game no matter how long the season pass goes on for. Your friend shelled out for a new Monster or Hunter? You can still team up and feel the benefits of their new abilities as a teammate (chances are if they leave you'll be able to switch to their bot for the match's duration anyway), but at no point are you forced to purchase new content to keep up - the exact opposite of what some people are saying. With Destiny charging $/£35 for a paltry amount of content and both Halo and COD supplementing their on-disc offerings with pricey add-ons after launch, it's damn-near revolutionary that a developer is taking the hit on something as big as map packs without demanding anything in return to keep playing.
