2. Every Ending - Dying Light 2

Mr Freeze
Techland

Do you know what's more annoying than a bad ending? Multiple bad endings. And when you look at the various ways the story concludes in Dying Light 2, it feels like Techland wanted to irk players.

When the antagonist is defeated, Aiden is given a choice to save Lawan or Mia. If he rescues Lawan, Aiden doesn't have time to stop Villedor from being bombed, which results in the death of thousands of civilians.

If you choose to save Mia, the city will be spared. Unfortunately, Mia dies immediately after, making your decision feel pointless. But at least Villedor is safe in this ending, right?

Nope. After Mia dies, the city is taken over by the same faction that Aiden supported. Believing it is in his best interest to leave Villedor, Aiden marches into the sunset, doing his best to ignore the screams coming from the only home he's ever known.

Because there are eight possible climaxes, you'd assume there would be at least one outcome where things turn out alright. Sadly, that's not the case. No matter what you do or who you save, you can't help feeling like you lost everything by the end.
