10 Regular Enemies That Look Intimidating But Are Actually A Bit Rubbish

6. Enforcer - Batman: Arkham Origins

Tomb Guardian Fallen Order
Warner Bros.

Angry, muscle-bound men with criminal records are best avoided, especially those found in Gotham. Inspired by Arkham City and Asylum’s Titan, the Enforcer is presented as a mini-boss, a tough, highly damaging opponent that acts as a hard counter to Batman’s physical prowess.

It is odd, then, that such a hulking brute should suffer from such a simple weakness – being hit in the head with a cape.

Using cape-stun, the player can incapacitate the Enforcer before it has a chance to attack. From there it is a simple matter of initiating a beatdown, flipping over the Enforcer’s head, initiating yet another beatdown, and continuing until the brute is lying face down in a puddle of its own blood. For the skilled this requires all of twenty seconds.

Considering the creativity shown when it comes to Origins’ boss battle and its new Martial Artists thug type, the Enforcer’s failure to make good on its intimidating appearance (and inevitable smack talk) is, like many of the entries on this list, disappointing.

A hard counter to Batman’s strength, yes, but not his – or our – smarts.
