10 Retro Christmas Video Games To Fill Your Stocking

9. Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause

Buena Vista Games

If it isn't already miraculous that they squeezed three movies out of the Santa Clause story with Tim Allen, they even made a tie-in game that came out for the Game Boy Advance. The events of the game simply follow the movie, as you take control of Scott Calvin in his role as Santa Claus. Standing in his way this Christmas is Jack Frost, as they duke it out to be the ruler of the most wonderful time of the year.

This 2006 release is definitely one for the demographic of the movie it's based on, as it offers rather simplistic platforming adventure, with little variety in its levels. If you've got a little one in the house, this will make a nice addition to a child friendly retro collection. With side scrolling platform action that involves collecting a lot cookies and milk (because evidently that's how we heroes should save the day) Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause is a quick and easy game for the kids to enjoy.
