10 Retro Christmas Video Games To Fill Your Stocking

5. Die Hard Trilogy

No Christmas is complete without scaling Nakatomi Plaza, floor by floor, and gunning down naughty thieves. It just isn't. We watch Die Hard at Christmas, and we should be playing Die Hard at Christmas, especially the Die Hard Trilogy.

As both the first and second movie are set at Christmas, there's two different games to play here. The first, and best, of them is of course Die Hard, where you work your way up Nakatomi Plaza to take out terrorists in a third person shooter. Sure, the graphics haven't dated that well, but just whack on those rose tinted specs and revel in the bloody carnage you can unleash. The second game, based on Die Hard 2: Die Harder, mixes up the gameplay by delivering a rock hard on-rails shooter that has you blowing away terrorists that've hijacked the airport.

A financial and critical success, this is the quintessential Die Hard game to boot up in your ugly Christmas jumper emblazoned with 'Now I Have a Machine Gun Ho-Ho-Ho'.
