10 Ridiculous Adult Jokes Hidden In Video Games

7. Humped To Death (Vendetta)

Vendetta 1991 game
Konami

In side-scrolling beat 'em up Vendetta, your goal is to punch (or shoot) literally anything that moves. Most of the baddies you encounter will be big muscular thugs, or angry bikers that throw molotovs - y'know, people who actually pose a serious threat to your health - but there's also one bonkers enemy type that you might run into as you're playing through the game.

This particular foe - dressed in tight leather pants, suspenders, and with a thick clump of chest hair - won't try to kick you, or punch you, or stab you. Oh no. They'll try to dry hump you instead. Even when you knock them to the floor, they'll carry on humping, and if they can't hump you, then they'll go after a nearby lamppost.

This entry takes the word "hidden" to the extreme, because for most people in the world, it's flat-out inaccessible. These unusual enemies are only present in certain versions of the game - like the Japanese one - due to being censored in a lot of markets.

Frankly, it's not hard to see why.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
